Events: Mountainbiking Otago Inc. is running two events this year, the Classic Cross Country and new for 2005, the Enduro.
The Classic Cross Country race will be run at Bethunes Gully on the tried and tested single track, gravel road circuit used in the 2004 Masters Games.
The Enduro will cater to those riders having a go at an MTB race for the first time and seasoned master’s MTB competitors alike. The event will be run over a 35km course, probably one loop. The track will be made up of gravel roads, single track winding its way around and through Whare Flat / Three Mile Hill Forest, west of Dunedin.
Age Groups: There are seven age groups this year (30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+) for men and women. The age groups may be adjusted on the day if not enough competitors are in each class, but last Master Games we had enough riders to warrant more age groups.
