Masters Games time comes around very quickly and Colin Meads and I are looking forward to being part of the 2012 Dunedin Games.
We both enjoy our travels and actively promote the Masters Games concept and encourage people to get out, get fit and become involved. A positive message we both enjoy delivering. It is an annual opportunity to rekindle friendships made from previous tournaments, reinvigorate ones sporting code they may competed in earlier years, or taking the opportunity to try something new.
There would not be two better venues in New Zealand who can offer what Wanganui and Dunedin can for location of venues and the personnel to run such events.
On writing this I have not been inside the new Forsyth Barr Stadium, which I believe will be one of the best of its type in the world, and part of this stadium will be used as a base during the Games. This alone will be a big attraction to get people into the popular southern city.
We both look forward to catching up in February 2012.
