If you are not able to enter via the online system please contact the New Zealand Masters Games office on 0800 303 500 (within NZ) or 03 474 1429 during office hours.  Your entry can be completed over the phone with one of our team or an entry form can be provided.

Team Sports
Prior to entering a team sport, you or your team manager must firstly create your team using the ‘Create a Team’ on the Entry Page. Once your team has been set up, team members can then register using the process above.  Details for Team Managers can be changed at anytime by contacting us.

Entry Dates

Early Bird Entry Fee: $65.00 applies until 2 December 2019

Standard Entry Fee: $95.00 applies  between 3 December 2019 and 13 January 2020

Final Entry Fees: $125.00 applies from 14 January 2020 onwards. 

Entries Close: This is different for all sports. Please check your specific sport page for more information.

Age Eligibility

Please check the specific sport page for more information as age restrictions vary depending on the sport. All accredited holders must be at least 18 years of age – supporters and non-playing officials included. 

Things You Should Know

  • All prices are in New Zealand dollars.
  • Before entering, please read the sports information for your chosen sport/s so you are aware of the sports details including sport fee, competition dates and entry requirements.
  • Payment must be made at the time of your entry with a credit/debit card or via Account2Account.  In addition, payment can be made in person at the NZMG Office or via cheque.
  • Payment must be received prior to the entry fee close off period to be eligible for the applicable fee.
  • Our Terms and Conditions must be read and accepted as part of the entry process.  In addition we expect all Masters to follow the Code of Behaviour for the Masters Games.
  • Refund applications close on Monday the 13th of January at 5.00pm. *Refer to Refund Section in the Terms & Conditions for further information.
  • You must collect your accreditation pass and sports programme in person before competing in your sport.


Competitor Games Fee:
An Early Bird Entry Fee $65.00, Standard Entry Fee $95.00 or a Final Entry Fee $125.00 will apply to all competitors who are competing in a sport at the Masters Games. You will only pay the Games Fee once, regardless of how many sports you are competing in. You may also enter one sport, and come back and add additional sports at any time, without penalty. Your fee includes:

  • Official Masters Games accreditation pass
  • The right to enter the Masters Games Sports on offer and the chance to win a medal
  • Quality Masters Games Bag
  • Masters Games Handbook
  • Entry to the Masters Games Opening Ceremony
  • Entry to all Masters Games Sports Venues
  • 9 days and nights of Entertainment at the Games Hub

Supporter Fee:
If you would like to be part of the Games but not compete in a sport, then enter as a Supporter.   For $45.00 you receive all the entry fee inclusions of a competitor, except you are unable to compete in any Masters Games sports or win medals.

Sports Fees:
Sports Fees are in addition to your one-off competitor games fee.  Specific fees are set by each sport to cover the costs of conducting their competition. Sports Fees are different for each sport. Please view your specific sport page for each sport fee that applies.

Masters VIP Upgrade:
For $60.00 all competitors have the opportunity to purchase a Masters VIP Upgrade.  The VIP Upgrade is an added extra that is pre-purchased when you complete your entry for the Masters Games.  VIP’s will receive a range of special extras including:

  • Meet the Ambassadors Breakfast
  • Masters Games gift
  • Upgrade photo package of high res digital images from CMG Sport
  • Reserved seating at the Comedy Gala & one of the Movie Nights
  • And more…

CMG Sport are offering a Masters Photo Pack of $50.00 which provides purchasers with five high res digital images, with at least one guaranteed image of the entrant.  The Masters Photo Pack is an added extra that is only pre-purchased when you complete your entry for the Masters Games.

Check In Centre

Participants are required to show photo ID in order to receive their accreditation pass validating their entry into the Games Village and sport venues. All other package inclusions will be picked up at the Check In Centre also.
