Open the SPORTS AND RESULTS button on your App, for all info you need.
Will my sport be cancelled due to bad weather?
In the unlikely event of a sports cancellation, participants will be notified by NZMG App Push Notification, radio (Mediaworks station), NZMG website, social media and email to the competitors.
Do I need to check in before my sport?
Yes, please head to the Ricoh Check-in Centre. Go to ENTERTAINMENT AND INFO for opening times in the NZMG App.
When is my sport prizegiving?
The prizegiving will take place at the conclusion of your sport, contact your Sport Partner for details. Sport Partners details are listed in CONTACTS in the NZMG App and in the Participant’s Handbook.
Can I get my medal engraved?
Yes, we have a dedicated medal engraver on site at the Games Hub. Go to ENTERTAINMENT AND INFO in the NZMG App.
Where can I buy event merchandise?
A local Whanganui business, Display Associates, have a dedicated merchandise stand on the ground floor of the War Memorial Centre at the Games Hub. Go to ENTERTAINMENT AND INFO in the NZMG App for opening times.
What should I do if I am concerned about COVID-19?
If you are concerned about COVID-19 symptoms, testing is available at the Whanganui Hospital community based assessment centre (CBAC), 100 Heads Road, Gonville, Whanganui, 8am – 3.30pm weekdays. Outside these hours, please call Healthline on 0800 358 5453.
If you are unwell, stay at home and do not take part in Games events or activities. Remember to scan or sign into places using the NZ COVID Tracer app or keep a record of where you’ve been.
