- Novice: W6 Sprints

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Average age of crew must be either 40+ or 50+ to qualify. Youngest age of paddler must be 20years (waka age still needs to average 40+ or 50+).
- Waka age is worked out by an average of all six paddlers. Minimum average age must meet requirements for mixed events.
- Mixed events must have a minimum of 3 women paddling in each race.
- No Novice teams permitted to enter the W6 10km event.
- Races are mixed only.
- Races are W6 only.
- Maximum of 8 registered paddlers per team – minimum of 3 women always racing. Waka, life jackets and paddles available for hire (limited supply).
- Waka Ama NZ rules apply. Teams must have competent steerers, these can be supplied for the sprint races if required – please indicate if you need a steerer.
- All Waka in the 10km race must have tow rope, spare paddle, two bailers and 6 life jackets.
