20-24 (then 5-year increments) to 80+
Minimum age 20+ men and women as at first day of competition
Events:
Open Harbour Swim – 3000m or 1500m
Notes:
- The course is in the spectacular Otago Harbour and is very exposed to wind
- Conditions can be extremely rough, and this event is only recommended for confident, strong swimmers in wetsuits
- Swim caps are required and must be worn – light colours are more visible (some will be available at check in)
- There is limited parking at Vauxhall
- If in the opinion of the event organiser, the conditions are unsafe, the event will be postponed to the reserve day of Monday 5 February 2024
